Lockout settings
The lockout policy settings specify the number of failed login attempts permitted and lockout period duration. These settings apply to both Windows and Custom authenticationOne of the authentication methods allowed by GFI OneConnect. When this method is used client will receive an email with the URL to log in, their username and temporary password. The user must change their password at the first login..
To Access the Lockout settings:
- Login to GFI OneConnect with an administrator account.
- From the top-right menu, navigate to Settings > Authentication.
- Scroll down to the Lockout policy section.
- Configure the following lockout settings:
Lock Out Policy | Description |
---|---|
Maximum Attempts | Define how many failed login attempts are allowed until a user is locked out. |
Reset Attempts After | The number of failed attempts is automatically reset to zero after the specified number of minutes. |
Lockout Period | How long the system will lock a user out after they have exceeded the number of failed Maximum Attempts. |
The changes done are automatically saved.
