Whitelist is not working

Issue encountered

URLs or domains added to the whitelistA list that contains information about what should be allowed by GFI WebMonitor. are still blocked by GFI WebMonitor.


The whitelist entry is not matching the page accessed, or there are invalid entries in the whitelist.

Possible Solutions

Option 1

Check the entries in the whitelist and see if they match the URLUniform Resource Locator. used. For example, www.example.com will not block access to http://example.com. Add new items as necessary.


Revise the whitelist entries and search for invalid entries like *example.com or example.com*

These entries will trigger an error if entered in the interface, but may get in the configuration files during an upgrade.
