Enabling Windows Authentication
Windows Authentication is the default authentication method and usually, no further configuration is required from the GFI OneConnect web configuration.
In the event that authentication was switched to Custom AuthenticationOne of the authentication methods allowed by GFI OneConnect. When this method is used client will receive an email with the URL to log in, their username and temporary password. The user must change their password at the first login., it can be reverted to Windows Authentication as follows:.
- Login to GFI OneConnect with an administrator account.
- From the top-right menu, navigate to Settings > Authentication.
- Select Windows Authentication.
- Click Save to confirm the change.
The Controller list area interface displays a list of Windows Authentication Managers available when this method is selected. Ensure that all controllers are Ready and that more than one controller is present for redundancy purposes. For more information refer to Windows Authentication.
