Enabling GFI HelpDesk's REST API

GFI HelpDesk's REST API lets you quickly develop applications that connect and integrate into your GFI HelpDesk.

Before you can make API calls, you need to make sure that the helpdesk API is active or enabled.

This topic provides the steps on how to activate or enable GFI HelpDesk's REST/helpdesk API.

To activate the helpdesk API:

  1. Log in to the Admin Control Panel using the following URLUniform Resource Locator is the address of a web page on the world wide web.:
  2. <yourdomain>.gfihelpdesk.com/admin
  3. Select the REST API option and click Settings.
  4. Click the Yes radio button corresponding to the Enable API option.
  5. Note:

    Selecting No disables the function.

  6. Click Update to save the changes:
  7. Click update
