Backup Archive Stores
It is highly recommended to include the GFI Archiver Archive StoresA collection of email sources, email metadata and search indexes within GFI Archiver in routine server backup procedures.
Online Backup
Online backup is done using a backup application which backups Archive Stores without the need to stop the GFI Archiver services. For more information refer to

Offline Backup
Offline backup can be done in environments where online backup is not possible. The GFI Archiver services must be temporarily stopped while backing up Archive Stores.
