Adding a policy to the policy tree
Use the following instructions to add a policy to the policy tree that already exists in the policy librarythe Exinda repository for network objects and their definitions.
- Go to Configuration > Traffic Policies > Optimizer > Optimizer > Policies.
- Select the desired policy using the drop-down list at the bottom of a virtual circuitlogical definitions that partition a a physical network circuit and used to determine what traffic passes through it and how much's policy list in the Optimizer.
- Specify the rank order number so that it will be inserted in the desired location in the policy tree.
- Press the Add to 'name of virtual circuit' button.
If you want to create a brand new policy
- Click on the Create New Policy link at the bottom of the desired virtual circuit's policy list and fill out the policy details.
- The system will insert the policy to the bottom of the policy list for the given virtual circuit. Reorder the policy if needed. For more information refer to Policy ordering matters.
