Editing appliance configurations
When a device is online you can view the config and perform any required changes. The available options depend on the firmware version currently installed in your exinda. The options available on V5 appliances differ to the ones available on v4 appliances.
To view an appliance config
- Go to the Appliances page.
- Select a device. The device status must be online.
- Click Show Config to view the text based configuration.
To edit an appliance config - Option 1 Manual Edit
- Go to the Appliances page.
- Select a device. The device status must be online.
- Click Show Config to view the text based configuration.
- Click Edit Config.
- Make necessary changes.
- Click Save.
To edit an appliance config - Option 2 Optimizer Jump Start
- Go to the Appliances page.
- Select a device. The device status must be online.
- Click Change Config.
- Select Optimizer Jumpstart and click Next.
- Follow the Optimizer wizard.
To edit the config for multiple devices
- Go to the Appliances page.
- Click Mass Config.
- Select the devices you wish to update or select All.
- Choose one of the edit options described above. The available options depend on the firmware version installed on the appliances.
- Review changes and click Confirm.
- A list off all completed actions will be displayed. You can select to view all or pending only action from the drop down menu. Also, see Status.
To restore a previous config
- Go to the Appliances page.
- Select a device. The device status must be online.
- Click Show Config to view the text based configuration.
- Click Edit Config.
- Select one of the previous configuration files. You can view and/or restore up to 5 previous config files. They are sorted by date.
- Copy the text.
- Return to the Edit Config page and paste the copied text.
- Click Save.
