Configuring SMTP server settings
Use the following instruction to configure the SMTPSimple Mail Transfer Protocol server settings.
- Go to Configuration > System > Network > Email > SMTP Server.
- In the SMTP Server Name field, type the name.
NOTE
You can use IPv4 or IPv6 addresses, or DNSDomain Name Server names.
- In the SMTP Server Port field, type the port number.
NOTE
The default port number is 25.
- In the "From" Address field, type the email address from which the system alerts and report notifications should be sent.
- If authentication is required, select the SMTP Authentication checkbox, and provide the Username and Password.
- If necessary, select the Use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) checkbox.
- Click Apply Changes.
