GFI Archiver can be configured to run in various hardware setups and combinations. The table below shows the typical recommended configurations. These guidelines and configurations may vary according to user activity and daily email flow.

Email metadata is the information about emails archived within GFI Archiver.

It is highly recommended to use Microsoft® SQL Server Express or Microsoft® SQL Server as your database. The Firebird database included in the GFI Archiver installation is intended for evaluation purposes only.
