Installing GFI Archiver with GFI Directory

When installing GFI Archiver with GFI Directory, the installation wizard will detect that GFI Directory is installed. If the installed version is older than the one packaged with GFI Archiver you are asked whether to upgrade the installed GFI Directory version or skip the upgrade process. It is highly recommended to upgrade to the most recent version of GFI Directory.

NOTE

If GFI Archiver is installed with GFI Directory it is not possible to switch to Microsoft Active Directory and you have to re-install GFI Archiver.

Manage users and groups in GFI Directory

Using GFI Directory, you can create new users and groups, assign administrative rights to users and also reset user passwords.

To access GFI Directory from GFI Archiver:
