Fax recipient

In the To field, enter the recipient's fax number.

The fax number must include the international dial symbol "+", the country and area codes. These are required even when sending faxes locally, for example, from United States to United States. Do not use hyphens, spaces or dashes between any parts of the fax number.

When sending faxes using an email client, key in the fax number in the following format: faxnumber@gfifax.com. Replace faxnumber with the full recipient’s fax number. You can key in up to five recipient numbers, using the same format for each and separated with a semi-colon (;). For example: +441273123456@gfifax.com; +420313414515@gfifax.com;

Example 1: When sending a fax to a Czech Republic number 313-414-515 use +420313414515. Where:

  • + is the international dial prefix
  • 420 is the Czech Republic country code
  • 313414515 is the fax number

Example 2: Sending a fax to a UK number, with area code 01273, and number 123-456. In this case use +441273123456. Where:

  • + is the international dial prefix
  • 44 is the UK country code
  • 1273 is the area code (in the case of the UK the preceding 0 is dropped when using the international dial number)
  • 123456 is the fax number

Example 3: Sending a fax from a US city to another number within the same city. The area/city code is 718 and the recipient's fax number is 123-4567. In this case use +17181234567. Where:

  • + is the international dial prefix (required even though you are sending fax in the same city)
  • 1 is the US country code
  • 718 is the area/city code
  • 1234567 is the recipient's fax number
