Removing users

Users can be removed to lower the license count for GFI products or security reasons. Use this feature with caution. The consequences of a user deletion are:

  • Users cannot login to the products that use GFI Directory.
  • Users loose all functionalities of the other GFI products: spam and antivirus protection, file archival or the capability to send and receive faxes.
  • User settings are lost irrevocably.

To remove a user:

1. From the GFI Directory console, go to Manage > Users.

2. From the Users screen, click next to the user to delete.

3. Click Remove User.

4. Click OK to confirm deletion.
