Using the File Archive Assistant
The File Archive Assistant enables users to sync files between their computer and GFI Archiver. All files archived by File Archive Assistant are accessible via the GFI Archiver Web Interface and GFI Archiver Touch App for Windows 8 and Windows RT.
The File Archive Assistant can be used in 2 ways:

| Archive files manually from any location on your computer |
When the File Archive Assistant is installed on your computer, a new context menu item for manual archiving is added to the default Windows context menu. To archive selected folders or files, right-click on any folder, file, selection of folders or a selection of files and click Archive files. |
| Use a Synchronized Folder to automatically archive files | File Archive Assistant offers the ability to create synchronized folders. Any file saved in these folders is automatically uploaded to GFI Archiver. For more information refer to Adding a Synchronization Folder. |
NOTE
A default Synchronization Folder may be created automatically by the GFI Archiver Administrator. The default path is %USERPROFILE%\Documents\GFI Files.
